Here we had to take the character we designed for an existing franchise and put him/her into a scene where they are interacting with another person.
Because my character was based in the Dragon Age universe I decided to have him fighting side by side with the protagonist (yours may vary) of Dragon Age II. The idea was that they were on their way to join the Inquisitor on his adventures in the upcoming Dragon Age III!The character concept for my character can be seen here.

Another Warframe Fan Illustration!
I’ve been having a bunch of fun using Volt lately, so why not draw him sitting on a mound of helmets!On a more serious note, I was trying to execute upon a lighting set up that did not have a light source that was directly in front of the subject. Turned out alright though I did run into issues when I started rendering the darker areas.

Back again, now with double the images!

The first one was a perspective assignment where we had paint a jungle environment that included a man made structure of some sort. I learnt quite a bit about elements that help enhance the “mood” of an image.

The second one was character design assignment. Basically we had to design a character that fit into an existing IP. In my case, I chose the world of Dragon Age III.

Both were done for classes here at 3dsense.

In addition to this prerequisite, I decided to include a three point lighting setup. You can hopefully see it in the green glow from the sword, the light from the lava and a magical white light from the front of the subject (just roll with it :P).Anyway here is the deviantart link if you are more active on that site instead of tumblr.
